Fail Secure Lock Assessment in Bosley is booked from the Stockport workshop for school and college sites who want the visit tied to that site, not a generic national script.
A fail-secure lock stays locked when power is lost. A fail-safe lock unlocks. The assessment decides which behaviour belongs on each door, using the fire strategy and how people actually leave the building.
The scope for Fail Secure Lock Assessment is confirmed in writing before anyone attends Bosley. Each door recorded as fail-safe or fail-secure, with the reason. Escape routes not left on a lock that holds in a power cut. Fire interface and manual release included in the note. POA survey — the responsible person keeps the fire strategy.
