The visit covers visual inspection plus dead and live testing within the agreed scope—from consumer unit to final circuits and fixed equipment connections. You receive a formal EICR with observations coded C1, C2, C3 or FI, plus an overall satisfactory or unsatisfactory result. EICR Report FAQ
What is the difference between an EICR report and an EICR certificate?+
People often use the terms interchangeably. The EICR is the condition report document; it is commonly called an EICR certificate in everyday speech, but it is not the same as an Electrical Installation Certificate for new works.
How long is an EICR report valid?+
The inspector recommends the next inspection interval based on condition and use—commonly five years for many private rentals, sooner if the installation is poor or high-risk.
Will you fix faults found on the report?+
Yes. We can carry out electrical remedials and, where appropriate, issue further certification so your file shows both the original EICR and completed repairs.
Can agents receive the report directly?+
Yes. We supply digital copies to landlords and nominated letting agents so tenancy and compliance folders stay complete.
