Why the two conversations travel together
A fire alarm tells you there is a device in alarm. A nurse-call system tells staff which room needs a person. Evacuation and stay-put strategies only work if staff can locate residents and visitors.
We do not issue CQC ratings and we do not pretend a service visit is an inspection by the regulator.
Fire side
Care premises usually need a robust fire alarm, emergency lighting on escape and staff routes, and an FRA that understands mobility and staffing. Detection in bedrooms is not a domestic Grade D conversation.
Nurse-call side
Pear-pushes, over-door lights, staff pagers or DECT, and logging. Retrofit in a live home needs a phasing plan — not a weekend rip-out with no temporary cover.
How to start
Read care homes or send kit brands via contact. Photos of the panel and a nurse-call printer ticket help.
Common questions
Are you a CQC inspector?
No. We install, maintain and document systems. Regulatory inspection is a different body.
Can you work in an occupied home?
Yes, with a method that keeps cover in place. That is why we quote after we understand occupancy, not from a web form alone.
