Commercial building maintenance fabric visits that do not ignore the certificates
Building maintenance is the fabric — doors, finishes, minor repairs — planned so it does not wipe out the fire-door or electrical evidence you just paid for.
What this commercial job is
We agree a visit list: ironmongery, making good, minor leaks, and the compliance dates that must not be buried. Specialist fire stopping, gas and electrical remain their own competences.
You get notes of what was done. We do not describe a handyman visit as a fire certificate.

Questions facilities teams ask
Will the maintenance visit include the fire alarm service?
Only if that visit is booked. We will not pencil 'serviced' on a logbook we did not complete.
Can you do small joinery and a door closer?
Small joinery, yes. A fire door closer that is part of a fire door schedule should be on the fire door job so the record is right.
Do you cover grounds?
Only if it is on the list. It is not assumed.
