We attend with the logbook, identify the address or zone, and look for cooking fumes, steam, dust, plant interfaces, damaged call points and devices at end of life. On an addressable system we use the device text and the event log. The recommendation may be a detector-type change, a cause-and-effect tidy-up, or a maintenance visit if the system has lapsed. The visit is quoted after you tell us the panel make and how often it has activated.
