Disabled Refuge System FAQ
Is a disabled refuge system required in every building?+
Multi-storey buildings with refuge areas in the fire strategy typically need a way for people to communicate until assisted evacuation is available. We confirm against your strategy and risk assessment.
Can refuge systems work during a power cut?+
Yes — systems include standby batteries so communication continues when mains power fails.
Do you service existing refuge systems?+
We maintain and repair common refuge brands, replace handsets and batteries, and retest speech paths on planned visits.
