About External Rendering
External rendering is a new coat system on a wall that has been prepared, with beads, a bellcast and a finish that can breathe or shed as the specification says.
We do not skim a pretty coat over blown render and paint it. Hollow areas come off, the background is keyed, and beads go on corners and stops. The base of the wall stops above the DPC with a bellcast so the render does not bridge damp into the brick. A through-colour finish and a painted sand-cement are different quotes. The written POA is the elevation area after we have sounded the wall. iComply quotes it from Stockport.
- ●Hollow render removed
- ●Bellcast kept above the DPC
- ●Finish named in the quote
- ●Written POA after a look — no catalogue £ figure

External Rendering FAQ
Can you render straight over pebbledash?+
Only when the dash is stuck fast. Hollow dash comes off, or the new coat comes off with it.
Will render stop damp?+
A proper coat sheds rain. It is not a damp-proof course, and it must not bridge the DPC.
How is External Rendering priced?+
Price on application after we know elevation area and how much of the old render is hollow. iComply does not publish a catalogue £ figure for this job.
Quote for External Rendering
