Certificates are only meaningful when the underlying work is complete: loop checks, battery autonomy, device addressing, sounder levels, interfaces and user training. We do not “paper over” unfinished systems. For extensions and panel changes we document what was new versus retained, update zone charts and leave the responsible person able to run weekly tests. If you inherited a building with missing paperwork, we can survey the installation, carry out verification testing where feasible, and advise on the closest compliant documentation path. Keep certificates with the fire logbook for the life of the system.
- ●Installation and commissioning certificates for new systems
- ●Documentation for major modifications and panel replacements
- ●Updated zone charts, device lists and logbook setup
- ●Verification surveys where historical certificates are missing

Fire Alarm Installation Certificate FAQ
When is a fire alarm installation certificate issued?+
After a new installation or significant modification has been commissioned and verified against the design scope agreed in the quotation.
Is a service certificate the same as an installation certificate?+
No. Service certificates cover periodic maintenance. Installation certificates relate to new works or major changes; both belong in the fire logbook.
Can you certificate a system installed by someone else?+
We can only certify work we have verified. Third-party systems may need inspection, testing and possible remedials before we issue documentation for the verified scope.
