About Loft Hatch Trimmer
A loft hatch trimmer frames a hatch opening properly when the hole needs to be larger or the existing joists have been cut and left.
We do not cut a ceiling joist and leave it hanging on the plasterboard. A trimmer carries the cut joist back to structure. If the joists are already not a floor, we say a bigger hatch does not make them one. Insulation and the lid are a separate line if you want them. The POA is the opening. iComply quotes it from Stockport.
- ●Cut joists carried by a trimmer
- ●Not left hanging on plasterboard
- ●A bigger hole is not a conversion
- ●Written POA after a look — no catalogue £ figure

Loft Hatch Trimmer FAQ
Can you fit a folding ladder?+
Yes if the opening and the joists can take it. The ladder is listed. The trimmer is the structure.
Is this a loft conversion?+
No. It is a safe opening. A room in the loft is a different project.
How is Loft Hatch Trimmer priced?+
Price on application after we know the opening size and the direction of the joists. iComply does not publish a catalogue £ figure for this job.
