About Monocouche Render
Monocouche is a through-colour scrape finish applied as one coat to a prepared background, so the colour is in the render rather than a paint film.
We use it where the background is straight and sound enough for a one-coat system. Beads, stops and the bellcast are still required. Scraping is timed to the coat, not to the end of the day, or the colour goes patchy. We name the product and the colour in the quote. It is a poor choice over a wall that is still moving or hollow, and we will not put it there. Area and background set the POA. iComply quotes it from Stockport.
- ●Product and colour named
- ●Scraped to the system, not rushed
- ●Not applied over hollow or moving walls
- ●Written POA after a look — no catalogue £ figure

Monocouche Render FAQ
Does monocouche need painting?+
No. The colour is in the coat. Painting it later is possible but it stops being a through-colour wall.
Can you colour-match an old scrape coat?+
We can get close. Weathered monocouche does not match a new bag exactly, and we show a sample.
How is Monocouche Render priced?+
Price on application after we know area, background straightness and the named colour. iComply does not publish a catalogue £ figure for this job.
