We take projects from strategy review through product selection, installation, commissioning and planned service. Systems may include multiple vents on one core, lobby ventilation, manual firefighter controls and battery-backed panels. Our engineers document free-area assumptions, test results and defects so managing agents can evidence due diligence. Smoke Vent System FAQ
Is a smoke vent system required in all flats?+
Requirements depend on height, layout and the approved fire strategy — many multi-storey residential buildings use AOVs or similar smoke control on stairs.
Natural smoke vents versus smoke shafts?+
Both appear in UK practice; selection is a design decision. We install and maintain the system specified or help survey existing installations.
How do I know if my smoke vents still work?+
Regular functional testing and professional servicing are essential — many faults only appear when the system is operated under load.
