We calculate sound pressure levels for occupied spaces and place beacons where visual alarm devices support accessibility duties. Weatherproof and base-mounted options cover plant rooms, car parks and common parts. Commissioning includes measured checks, not assumptions that ‘it seems loud enough’.

Sounder Beacon FAQ
Are visual beacons a legal requirement?+
Requirements depend on risk assessment and who occupies the building. Many workplaces and public buildings specify VADs for inclusive warning.
Why is my sounder too quiet in one room?+
Doors, soft furnishings and distance reduce dB levels. We measure and add or reposition devices to meet design targets.
Can sounders be silenced while beacons stay on?+
Some systems support differentiated control; we programme cause-and-effect to match your evacuation strategy.
