About Stairwell Smoke Vent
Is your stairwell smoke vent seized, undersized or missing from the fire strategy hardware list? iComply install, repair and service stair smoke ventilation—roof AOVs, head-of-stair vents and related controls—for apartment blocks and commercial buildings across the North West. Clear stairs are fundamental to escape; reliable venting helps keep them tenable when smoke threatens common parts.
Stairwell smoke vents must open fully on demand, resist weather when closed, and report faults to the control system. We survey stair heads and roofs, fit or replace vents and actuators, wire to AOV panels, and commission with full open/close witnessing. Common defects include perished seals, failed chain actuators, flooded lids and panels that no longer supervise field circuits. Annual testing confirms performance for responsible persons and building safety files. Multi-stair buildings can be maintained under a single contract with standardised records. From Stockport, iComply covers Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside with fixed-price proposals after access assessment.
