We survey airflow, room volume and dust loading to size sampling pipes and set staged alerts that warn before full fire alarm. Installation includes capillary drops, end-cap verification, transport-time testing and staff training on filters and faults. Planned maintenance keeps aspiration performance stable so early warning remains genuine, not nuisance.

VESDA Installation FAQ
When is VESDA better than point smoke detectors?+
High voids, strong airflow, cold stores, clean environments or where earliest possible warning is critical often favour aspirating detection.
Does VESDA replace the main fire panel?+
Usually it signals into the building fire alarm system. We design interfaces so alerts and fire signals behave as the fire strategy requires.
How often must VESDA units be serviced?+
Follow manufacturer and BS guidance—filters and sensitivity checks are routine. We include aspirating devices on planned maintenance visits.
