AOV and smoke control in Greenock

Smoke control in Greenock is the vent, the actuator and the cause-and-effect, not a window that happens to open. This mid-sized town is in Inverclyde, West Central Scotland (Scotland). Population on the file: 41,280. About 204 miles from Offerton.

Mixed-use schemes in Inverclyde put shops under flats. The smoke control has to match that stack, including sites around Greenock. See also Gourock (2.4 miles), Port Glasgow (2.9 miles), Helensburgh (4.2 miles).

The usual buildings are residential stairs, offices over a podium, schools, hotels and older commercial cores. Closest other towns on this list: Gourock (2.4 miles), Port Glasgow (2.9 miles), Helensburgh (4.2 miles).

There is no single AOV house brand on this page. SE Controls, Nuaire, Brooks, Geze, D+H, Colt, TROX and the others below are all in scope. The survey says which one is installed.

Panel, actuator, vent and interface are quoted as separate lines when Greenock only needs one of them. Full replacements are quoted when the system cannot be kept.

A weekly visual check is not a substitute for a functional test of the actuator and the panel. Greenock logbooks should show both.

We coordinate with the fire-alarm maintainer when the interface is theirs. The AOV certificate should say what was witnessed in Greenock.

Quotes are POA. The number is 07517806082. Photos of the panel door help; they do not replace the survey.

Greenock AOV visits are scheduled. About 204 miles, Scotland. A failed actuator on a live stair is prioritised ahead of a routine logbook visit.

We will say if the Greenock system should be kept, repaired or replaced. Other pages within a short radius: Gourock (2.4 miles), Port Glasgow (2.9 miles), Helensburgh (4.2 miles). The manufacturer grid is the full AOV list for this page. Weekly bell tests are not accepted as the AOV test.
