Commercial fire alarm scoped to the FRA, not a catalogue panel
New and replacement workplace alarms are designed from the fire strategy and the building, then commissioned so the FM can actually operate the panel.
What this commercial job is
We survey zones, cause-and-effect, sound levels and existing cable before naming a panel. Conventional suits simple units; addressable suits larger floor plates and multi-tenant blocks.
Handover includes a demonstration for the people who will silence and reset it, plus the paperwork insurers and auditors ask to see. Orphaned systems are quoted only after we have seen the panel.

Questions facilities teams ask
Can you take over a panel another company fitted?
Often, after we read the panel, the zone chart and any cause-and-effect. That look is part of quoting.
Do you design to the FRA or replace it?
We design to the current assessment. If the FRA is missing or stale, book that first.
Will staff be shown how to use it?
Yes. Handover includes the weekly test and who to call when it faults.
