About AOV Certification

Certification visits combine functional tests with visual inspection of vents, controls and backup power. Pass results are documented clearly; fails are itemised with recommended remedials and retest options. We can certificate single cores or entire estates under a maintenance agreement. Working from Stockport, we keep language plain so non-technical freeholders understand what the certificate covers and what actions remain outstanding.

●Functional testing with formal pass/fail certification
●Actuator and panel test records retained for audit
●Defect schedules with retest after remedials
●Portfolio certification for multi-block agents

AOV Certification FAQ

Is there a single legal ‘AOV certificate’?+

Practice varies, but professional service certificates and test records are the usual way to evidence maintenance under fire safety duties and BS 9991-aligned care of systems.

How often should AOVs be certificated?+

Follow your fire strategy, manufacturer guidance and maintenance contract — commonly at each planned service interval with records kept ongoing.

Can you certificate after someone else’s repair?+

We can test and certificate current performance, noting any limitations if prior workmanship or design cannot be fully verified.
