First fix and second fix can be split on a construction programme. The fitter does not leave bases unlabelled. At handover the device that is on the ceiling matches the schedule. If a ceiling change moved a head, that is a variation, not a quiet extra. Domestic fitters and commercial fitters are scheduled against the right standard.

The scope includes commissioning of the devices fitted. A fitter-only instruction with no test is declined.
Will a fitter work to our drawings?+
Yes, and we will flag drawings that contradict BS 5839 before cable is pulled.
