About Bellcast Bead Replace

A bellcast bead replacement puts the stop-bead back at the bottom of a render coat so water throws clear and the coat does not bridge the DPC.

Missing or rusted bellcast beads let the coat crack at the bottom and let render or paint run down over the DPC. We cut the failed bead out, fix a new one on the line above the DPC, and make the coat good to it. If the render has already bridged the damp course, we cut that bridge back. This is a detail repair, not a new elevation. The POA is the length of bead and the making good. iComply quotes it from Stockport.
