Bellcast Bead Replace
A bellcast bead replacement puts the stop-bead back at the bottom of a render coat so water throws clear and the coat does not bridge the DPC.
About Bellcast Bead Replace
A bellcast bead replacement puts the stop-bead back at the bottom of a render coat so water throws clear and the coat does not bridge the DPC.
Missing or rusted bellcast beads let the coat crack at the bottom and let render or paint run down over the DPC. We cut the failed bead out, fix a new one on the line above the DPC, and make the coat good to it. If the render has already bridged the damp course, we cut that bridge back. This is a detail repair, not a new elevation. The POA is the length of bead and the making good. iComply quotes it from Stockport.
- ●New bead set above the DPC
- ●Bridged render cut back
- ●Priced as a detail, not a new elevation
- ●Written POA after a look — no catalogue £ figure

Bellcast Bead Replace FAQ
Why does the bottom of the render keep cracking?+
Often there is no bellcast, or the bead has rusted. Water sits on the edge and the coat lets go.
Is this a damp treatment?+
It stops the coat bridging the DPC. It does not replace a damp survey if the inside is wet.
How is Bellcast Bead Replace priced?+
Price on application after we know length of failed bead and whether render is bridging the DPC. iComply does not publish a catalogue £ figure for this job.
