Biometric Access Control
Biometric access control uses fingerprints or other biometric factors so credentials cannot be casually lent or copied like a shared fob. iComply designs and installs biometric access control for North West sites that need stronger identity assurance—server rooms, labs, stock cages and selective office zones—always with privacy-aware enrolment processes and fallback credentials for edge cases. We balance security with practical throughput at busy doors.
Barriers are the hardest job on this lane. This page sits beside that work.

Not every door needs biometrics; we help you apply them where risk justifies cost and user acceptance. Our Stockport engineers integrate biometric readers with controllers, schedule templates and audit logs, and train admins on enrolment and template management under UK data protection expectations. Outdoor or wet environments may need alternative technologies—we advise honestly. Fixed quotes cover hardware, programming and commissioning sheets. Combine with CCTV at high-security doors for richer incident evidence.

Biometric Access Control FAQ
Are fingerprints stored as images?+
Reputable systems store mathematical templates, not full fingerprint pictures. We explain your chosen product’s storage model during design.
What if someone’s fingerprint will not enrol?+
We configure alternative credentials (card/PIN) for a minority of users so nobody is locked out of their workplace.
Is biometric access suitable for apartments?+
Sometimes for plant rooms or staff areas; resident main doors often suit cards or video door entry better. We recommend by use case.
