BS 7671 covers design, erection and verification of installations; inspection against it looks at protective measures, selection of equipment, identification, and suitability for the environment. We combine visual assessment with measured tests and record departures using standard coding. Whether you manage a Victorian terrace conversion or a modern commercial fit-out, the regulations provide the benchmark. After inspection we can implement upgrades—RCD protection, bonding, board changes—so the installation moves closer to current expectations without unnecessary scope creep.

BS 7671 Inspection FAQ
What edition of BS 7671 do you work to?+
We inspect and install to the current edition and amendments in force at the time of the works or report.
Does a BS 7671 inspection include appliances?+
Fixed installation inspection is separate from PAT of portable appliances—both can be arranged if you need a full electrical safety package.
Will older wiring automatically fail?+
Not automatically. Age is a factor, but condition, adequacy of protection and test results determine coding—not the calendar alone.
