Testing typically includes continuity, insulation resistance, polarity, earth fault loop impedance, RCD performance and functional checks, alongside a structured visual inspection. We identify overloaded boards, damaged accessories, poor bonding and ageing cables that visual checks alone might miss. Results feed directly into coded observations on your EICR. Where access is restricted or circuits cannot be fully isolated, we note limitations honestly rather than inventing complete results. Book EICR testing as a one-off or as a recurring compliance service for your portfolio.

EICR Testing FAQ
How long does EICR testing take?+
A typical flat may take a few hours; larger houses and commercial units take longer. Circuit count and accessibility are the main drivers.
Will power be off during testing?+
Yes for periods on each circuit. We try to stage isolation so essential areas are not offline longer than necessary.
What happens after testing?+
You receive the EICR with codes and recommendations. If works are needed, we quote remedials and retest affected circuits as required.
What is the EICR list price?+
The only published EICR list price is £249 for a typical 6-bed hmo in the north west (code ELEC-EICR-6BED-NW), per property, all-in. iComply is not VAT registered, so VAT is not added.
