Electrical Compliance Certificate

An electrical compliance certificate is the umbrella phrase clients use for formal documents that prove work or condition meets BS 7671—most often an Electrical Installation Certificate, Minor Works Certificate or EICR. iComply issues the correct electrical compliance paperwork for new installs, alterations and condition reporting across Greater Manchester and the North West. From Stockport we make sure the document type matches the job, so solicitors, agents and insurers receive what they actually asked for. The only published EICR list price is £249 for a typical 6-bed hmo in the north west (code ELEC-EICR-6BED-NW), per property, all-in. iComply is not VAT registered, so VAT is not added. Remedials and parts are quoted after the inspection and are not included. A 1-bed, any other domestic size, and every commercial EICR are price on application.

About Electrical Compliance Certificate

Confusion between certificates causes delayed sales and frustrated tenants. We clarify whether you need condition reporting on an existing install or certification of new circuits after a board change, rewire or charger fit. Each certificate includes designer, installer and inspector details as required, plus schedules of inspections and test results. Digital copies are standard; hard copies are available on request. Pair compliance certification with remedial programmes when an EICR has already flagged faults that must be closed out.

●Correct certificate type for install, minor works or condition report
●BS 7671 schedules of inspections and test results
●Agent, solicitor and insurer-ready documentation
●Remedial works linked to unsatisfactory reports

Electrical Compliance Certificate FAQ

Which electrical certificate do I need?+

New or altered circuits need an Electrical Installation or Minor Works Certificate. Checking an existing installation usually needs an EICR. Tell us the purpose and we will confirm.

Can you reissue a lost certificate?+

If we completed the original works we can usually resupply a copy from our records. Work by others requires a new inspection.

Are certificates accepted by local authorities?+

Our qualified electricians issue industry-standard BS 7671 certificates recognised for landlord, licensing and conveyancing use when the correct type is supplied.

What is the EICR list price?+

The only published EICR list price is £249 for a typical 6-bed hmo in the north west (code ELEC-EICR-6BED-NW), per property, all-in. iComply is not VAT registered, so VAT is not added. Remedials and parts are quoted after the inspection and are not included. A 1-bed, any other domestic size, and every commercial EICR are price on application. We confirm it still applies to your property before you are booked.
