While intercoms are not certified in the same way as BS 5839 fire systems, professional commissioning packs still matter for insurance, agent handover and landlord due diligence. Our documentation typically covers system description, equipment list, test results for call paths and door release, programming notes, and any interfaces to access control or fire-release. We highlight residual risks such as flats without handset access on the day of visit. For multi-site clients we can standardise report formats. Certification-style handover pairs naturally with planned servicing schedules so systems remain reliable after practical completion. Coverage includes Greater Manchester and surrounding counties with flexible booking for project deadlines.
- ●Commissioning records for new and upgraded intercom systems

Intercom Certification FAQ
Is intercom certification a legal certificate like a CP12?+
No single statutory ‘intercom certificate’ applies like gas safety. We provide professional commissioning and test documentation suitable for project and agent files.
When do you issue documentation?+
After install, major upgrade or agreed commissioning visits, once functional tests are complete for the accessible parts of the system.
Can you document an existing system you did not install?+
Yes, as a survey and test visit. We record findings, defects and as-found configuration where access allows.
