Good NVR installation covers more than racking a box: PoE switch capacity, cable certification where needed, UPS options, hard-drive health, cyber hygiene and remote access hardening all matter. We migrate existing IP cameras where compatible, or install new camera estates with matching licences and firmware. RAID or multi-drive setups are specified for higher-resilience sites. Training covers live view, search, export for incidents and basic troubleshooting. Maintenance plans include health checks and storage warnings before disks fail. NVR works pair with Hikvision and other major platforms we support. Coverage spans Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire, Merseyside and Cumbria with appointments booked when the diary allows.

NVR Installation FAQ
What size hard drive do I need in an NVR?+
It depends on cameras, resolution, compression, motion settings and days of retention. We calculate storage during design rather than guessing.
Can you replace an NVR without changing cameras?+
Often yes if cameras are compatible. We verify models and licences before quoting a recorder swap.
Should the NVR be on a UPS?+
Recommended for many sites so recording continues through short power cuts and shutdowns are orderly. We can include UPS in the package.
