About Magnetic Lock Installation

A maglock is only as safe as its egress design: break-glass or fire-panel release, request-to-exit, battery backup and door geometry all matter. Our engineers survey the door leaf, frame and traffic pattern before fitting brackets, armature plates and cable routes that last. Based in Stockport, we also replace failing magnets, upgrade ageing PSUs and integrate maglocks with Paxton, HID-compatible and other access platforms.

●Survey of door type, holding force and mounting method
●Maglock, PSU, RTE and fire-release integration
●Access control interface and door monitoring where required
●Replacement magnets and remedial works on existing doors

Magnetic Lock Installation FAQ

Are magnetic locks allowed on fire exit doors?+

They can be used when designed fail-safe with correct fire-panel or emergency release so occupants can escape — we design to fire-release best practice.

Do maglocks need battery backup?+

A suitable power supply with battery standby is best practice so doors remain controlled during short mains failures while still releasing on fire signal where required.

Can you install maglocks on double doors?+

Yes. We specify brackets and holding arrangements suitable for double-leaf and glass doors after inspection.
