About Paxton Net2 Maintenance

Maintenance visits typically test reader operation, door release and free-exit devices, inspect power supplies and backup batteries, review event logs for anomalies, and confirm PC or server software backups where client systems allow. We flag worn locks, misaligned doors and failing tokens that drive nuisance issues. Firmware or software updates are handled carefully with client approval. Between visits, priority reactive attendance can be included by agreement for complete access failures. Net2 maintenance pairs well with intercom and CCTV contracts at the same entrances. Documentation supports insurers and internal audits. Coverage includes Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire, Merseyside and Cumbria.

●Scheduled Net2 inspections and functional door tests
●PSU, battery and controller health checks
●Software backup reminders and admin support
●Reactive fault attendance under agreed contract terms

Paxton Net2 Maintenance FAQ

How often should Net2 be maintained?+

Many sites benefit from annual or six-monthly visits depending on door count and traffic. We recommend a schedule after reviewing the estate.

Can you maintain Net2 we did not install?+

Yes. After a takeover survey we can maintain third-party Net2 systems once access rights and configuration are understood.

What if a door fails outside office hours?+

Out-of-hours options depend on your contract. Discuss critical doors so we can propose appropriate cover.
